This years Academy Award host, Ellen DeGeneres, set to become the first US daily show to be distributed in China

On Tuesday it was announced that American comedian Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show, will be the first daily show from the US to be distributed in China.

Thanks to the Chinese online video service Sohu Video, episodes of the Emmy-winning 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' will able to be viewed 48 hours after its U.S broadcast, with Chinese subtitles.

"Ni hoa! Ni Hao. Ni hao, y'all!" DeGeneres enthusiastically greeting viewers in Mandarin on her show on Tuesday after announcing the deal between and Time Warner Inc-owned Warner Bros Domestic Televison.

"It's basically the same show, but it will have subtitles and be called 'The Happy Lady Dance Hour,'" joked DeGeneres.

'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' is already in its 11th season, drawing more than 3 million viewers and is one of the most-viewed daytime talk shows in U.S television today.


Ellen DeGeneres will host The Academy Awards on March 2.
