Cue the dresses, suits, gadgets and cars as Dubai celebrates the world's most famous super spy (and his girls).

We all know the name, and now, we celebrate more than 50 years of the James Bond franchise with a special exhibition at the Burj Khalifa titled Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style. Held for the first time in the Middle East, the exhibition puts the spotlight on the details and intricacies that have made Bond the success it is today. In the city, to launch the event were former Bond girls Caterina Murino from Casino Royale, Irka Bochenko from Moonraker and Tonia Sotiropoulou from Skyfall.

Fans of the British spy can expect an immersive 007 experience with special showcases, which include Scaramanga's gun from The Man with the Golden Gun, Daniel Craig's wardrobe from Casino Royale and arguably the pièce de résistance, the Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre.

The James Bond festival also extends beyond the exhibition; the Dubai Fountain is set to weave its mesmerising water show set against the backdrop of Bond music, The Dubai Mall's aquarium will host the Q Boat from The World is Not Enough, Reel Cinemas will hold a special Bond screening daily and OSN has launched a special channel – OSN Movies HD 007 – for a movie marathon as well as exclusive documentaries on the franchise.

Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style runs until February 13 at Burj Khalifa Annex. Also don't miss the new Aston Martin DB11
