Captain Marvel just surpassed Wonder Woman, Thor and Spiderman in global box office earnings
Cool, cool, cool
Brie Larson is officially a ratings superhero. The actress' Captain Marvel movie has just surpassed the USD$900 million (roughly Dhs3.3 billion) mark in global ticket sales, scoring itself USD $910 million by the weekend's end.
Yep, it's seriously kicking butt.
The impressive figures, as reported by Variety, mean the movie surpasses global juggernauts Wonder Woman, Thor: Ragnarok and Spiderman: Homecoming in earnings. Furthermore, "it now ranks as the 10th-biggest comic-book release of all time."
All of this is even more impressive when you consider this is the film's third weekend...
Prior to smashing this record, the film also nabbed the title of the highest-grossing film with a female lead in cinematic history. You know, no biggie.
If you haven't seen it on the big screen yet, we suggest you get yourself into a cinema quick smart to catch what is now a key part of comic book cinema history.
