The winners of the 67th Cannes Film Festival will be announced a day earlier this year

Due to the European elections which fall on Sunday May 25, the world renowned Cannes Film Festival award ceremony will be moved forward a day, to take place on Saturday May 24.

The final film of the competition will be shown on Friday May 23, with a jury meeting the next day to select the winners, awarding them with the coveted Palme d'Or – and other main prizes – that same evening.

The ceremony will take place at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, with the festival kicking off on May 14 with the world premiere of Grace Of Monaco.
