Cannes Film Festival '17: The winners
The 70th Cannes Film Festival culminated in an awards ceremony last night at the Palais des Festivals, honouring the finest works during the 10-day cinematic showcase. The jury, which included Will Smith, Jessica Chastain, Pedro Almodovar and Fan Bingbing, awarded the night's top prize – the Chopard-designed Palme d'or – to director Ruben Ostlund (pictured below) for his outstanding film The Square. Also on the winner's list are Diane Kruger (Best Actress for In the Fade), Joaquin Phoenix (Best Actor for You Were Never Really Here) and Sofia Coppola (Best Director for The Beguiled).

Grand Prix: Robin Campillo for 120 Beats per Minute
Caméra d'Or (best first feature): Léonor Serraille for Jeune Femme
70th Anniversary prize: Nicole Kidman
