Cannes draws to a close with a nod to 'Pulp Fiction'

And the Palme d'Or goes to 'Winter Sleep'

Hollywood’s maverick director Quentin Tarantino showed up in Cannes this weekend celebrate the 20th anniversary of winning the Palme d’Or for 'Pulp Fiction' and presented the award to this year’s winner

This weekend brought the Cannes Film Festival to a close, and Quentin Tarantino stood alongside Uma Thurman — his lead star in Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill — and presented Cannes Palme d'Or award to Nuri Bilge Ceylan for his drama Winter Sleep.

After handing out the coveted prize to the Turkish director, John Travolota along with Tarantino and Thurman, treated the glamorous crowd to a public screening of Tarantino's cult classic Pulp Fiction – which won the Palme d'Or in 1994 – on the sandy beach in Cannes.
