Is an all-female 'Ghostbusters' remake in the works?
They ain't afraid of no ghost
It was announced this week that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is in talks with Sony to take over the Ghostbusters franchise... Reportedly wanting an all-female cast of comedians to make up the team of ghost-catchers this time around.
It has been said that Feig would re-write the existing script and essentially take over for director Ivan Reitman – who sadly dropped out of the project after his friend and original Ghostbuster team member Harold Ramis who passed away earlier this year.
Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd made up the original team
The proposal of 'girl ghostbusters' has been met with some criticism from fans of the massively successful franchise, however talk of a Hollywood blockbuster with a cast of funny females is only a good thing in our book.
