The life of the iconic, and amazingly talented designer Lee Alexander McQueen continues to permeate pop culture – with the opening of exhibitions, the debut of books, and now a new theatrical production in London...

On Thursday February 12 – the fifth anniversary of Lee Alexander McQueen's death – a new play was announced in London titled McQueen: The Story of a Fashion Visionary.

James Phillips of The Rubenstein Kiss, has penned the new theatrical tribute, which is said to have the full backing of the McQueen family. The play will showcase the "the visionary imagination and dark dream world" of McQueen, and will focus over one night in London, when an imaginary girl breaks into the designer's home, steals a dress, and is caught by the iconic fashion visionary.

McQueen: The Story of a Fashion Visionary will be directed by Shakespeare veteran John Caird, with production design by David Farley and choreography by Christopher Marney and is set to debut at the St James Theatre in London from May 12 to June 6 2015.
