The 60th Annual London Evening Standard Theatre Awards

This years London Evening Standard Theatre Awards attracted glamorous stars from fashion and film and not just London's theatrical elite. David and Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Sienna Miller and Anna Wintour were among the attendees at the awards where thespians Gillian Anderson and Tom Hiddleston scored top honors.
From superhero villain in the Marvel franchise films to Shakespearian protagonist at The Donmar Warehouse Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Coriolanus left him "proud" of his hard work but with all the stage fighting involved this achievement came at a price and he "has the scars to prove it". The former X-Files star, Gillian Anderson who won for her role in A Streetcar Named Desire at The Young Vic theatre joked in her acceptance speech that "I haven't done that many plays and any time I do one I feel like an imposter."
The awards were hosted by comedy duo Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon at the London Palladium and featured a performance by eclectic British singer Kate Bush who also scooped an award for her unexpected return to performing this year. Other winners of the night included famous playwright Tom Stoppard, and British DJ Fatboy slim for his work on a cutting edge new musical Here Lies Love.
