2016 Cannes Film Festival: The winners
The 2016 Cannes Film Festival held its closing and awards ceremony last night at the Palais des Festivals. The jury – Kirsten Dunst, Mads Mikkelsen, Donald Sutherland, Valeria Golino, Arnaud Desplechin, László Nemes, Katayoon Shahabi and Paradis – bestowed the night's most prestigious award, the Palme d'or, to Ken Loach for the film I, Daniel Blake. This is Blake's second big win after a similar win in 2006 for The Wind That Shakes The Barley.
Director Xavier Dolan also won his second award, after being awarded the Grand Prix for Juste La Fin Du Monde (It's Only The End of the World). Meanwhile, Oscar-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi took home the Best Screenplay award for his film Forushande (The Salesman).

Jury Prize: Andrea Arnold for American Honey
Best Actress: Jaclyn Jose for Ma Rosa
Best Actor: Shahab Hosseini for The Salesman
Best Director: Olivier Assayas for Personal Shopper and Cristian Mungiu for Graduation
Best Screenplay: Asghar Farhadi for The Salesman
Camera d'Or: Houda Benyamina for Divines
Palme d'or (Short film): Timecode by Juanjo Gimenez
