With a mix of debates, workshops, writing competitions, as well as an appearance from over 150 writers, visitors at this year's Emirates Airline Festival of Literature are in for a literary treat

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and in partnership with Emirates and the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2014 is destined to bring together authors and literary fans from all over the world in celebration of the written and spoken word.

Featuring world famous names such as Katie Adie, who became known for her war reporting, this year's festival is set to welcome more than 150 writers and speakers from across 25 countries. Throughout the event, visitors will have the ultimate opportunity to meet their literary legends, while enjoying a diverse programme of events including debates, workshops, and much more.

The event caters to people of all ages, with a dedicated children's programme offering writing competitions, school quizzes, as well as reading sessions offered in both Arabic and English.

The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature takes place from March 4-8 at InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City.
