May promises to be a culture-filled month with a host of must-see events. From a culinary guide and a fashion-centric gastronomic session to a long-running musical and a sparkling watch and jewellery show, these are not-to-be-missed cultural extravaganzas this month.

Almost Home art exhibition at The Third Line

Dubai art space The Third Line will be presenting a solo art exhibition by Iranian artist Amir H. Fallah. Titled Almost Home, the new body of work was inspired by the painter's own experiences living outside his country of origin and highlights the fleeting and constantly evolving nature of life as an immigrant. The paintings heavily feature elements of Persian culture intertwined with a host of daily items – think clothes and jewellery – that further emphasise the non-permanent nature of a displaced population.
