It's another culture-filled month this March as Dubai offers unique experiences from music and food to arts and sports.

March may be the start of an arts frenzy in Dubai with the opening of Art Dubai and a host of other inspiring art and design-centric exhibitions but the cultural scene remains strong elsewhere as well. From a new restaurant opening and a luxe auction to a classical music feast and the highly anticipated equestrian extravaganza, these are the places to be and be seen in the month of March...

Christie's Dubai art auction

Over 100 artists from around the region will see their works go under the hammer at Christie's Dubai's 11th auction. The works have been gathered primarily from private collections around the globe, proving the worldwide appeal for Middle Eastern art. One of the highlights of the auction is Ismail Shammout's painting Odyssey of a People, a 6-metre long masterpiece that took six months to complete and the auction is estimated to attract bids of Dhs3.5 million.

Lima Dubai is the first international outpost of the London-based Lima brand, which happens to be the first Michelin-starred Peruvian restaurant. On that note, expect a smorgasbord of Latin flavours served in an authentic setting, courtesy of materials sourced from the Americas itself.
