Still in Progress art exhibition
The first regional solo exhibition by New York-based Moroccan artist Lalla Essaydi will see a showcase of her finest works from the decade beginning in 2003. Her unique approach to photography combines multiple artistic disciplines including calligraphy, painting as well as costume making. The result is a stunning body of work that explores roles of women in society as well as conflicts.
Still in Progress runs from June 7 until August 15 at the Leila Heller Gallery.
Fashion Forward Dubai Epic pop-up shop in Jeddah
Twelve Middle Eastern designers will make their debuts this month as part of a pop-up concept by Fashion Forward Dubai to create a platform for emereging labels. The region's next big fashion names that will showcase at the event include Amira Haroon, Arwa Al Banawi, Ghudfah, Hessa Falasi, Jelena Bin Drai, Nasiba Hafiz, Poca & Poca, Amal Haliq, Madiso, Rula Galayini, Vanina and Sarah's Bag.
The Fashion Forward Dubai Epic pop-up shop runs from June 5-25 at Rubaiyat, Stars Avenue Mall, Jeddah.
Global Wellness Day
Celebrate wellness with Four Seasons Hotels in Dubai as they bring you two must-experience health sessions. Project Warehouse at Warehouse421
Project Warehouse is the Ramadan equivalent of Warehouse421's much-loved Festember event. Visitors to the four-day festival can expect fashion outposts and culinary spots as well as art shows and live performances, think glass harp musicians from Poland.
Project Warehouse runs from June 1-4 at Warehouse 421.
Italian National Day at Segreto
Say mamma mia with Segreto as the famed restaurant celebrates Italian National Day on June 2. A special week-long menu has been created to mark the occasion and food connoisseurs can indulge in classic dishes including smoked burrata cheese with fresh broccolini, buttery poached cod served with green peas and cannoli filled with Italian buffalo ricotta cheese sprinkled with pistachios and fresh raspberrries.
