Avedon 'Woman' - a book of the American photographer's muses, such as Veruschka, Twiggy, Ingrid Boulting and many more

For 60 years Richard Avedon has worked with some of the world's most beautiful women. The great fashion photographer of America has photographed Ingrid Boulting, Gisele Bundchen, Twiggy and other models of a similar calibre - their portraits shot vivaciously. He worked for the best magazines of his time such as, Vogue and the New Yorker. The book 'Avedon: Woman' published by the eminent Rizzoli, contains 120 black and white photographs from Avedon's years as a distinguished photographer. On the cover is the sensational Veruschka wearing a Bill Blass dress.

Those fortunate enough to have visited the exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery and seen the wonderful pieces in person, had the opportunity to purchase their own copy of Avedon's book. Larry Gagosian was the first art dealer to show Avedon's collection of photographs in his London gallery from September to October. The collection was then moved to the Beverly Hills gallery, where it has been since, coming to a close on the 21st of December.
