Tod's launches stunning David Bailey exhibition in Milan
David Bailey's Stardust exhibition is presented in Milan's Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea, thanks to Tod's, who are making a substantial contribution to the Expo 2015 programme by bringing this major exhibition to Milan, with the help of the National Portrait Gallery.
David Bailey is one of the world's most distinguished photographers, in his landmark Stardust exhibition, Bailey has curated a stunning collection of images that include a wide variety of his own work.
The exhibition is presented thematically across a series of rooms that are each devoted to Bailey's time in different locations, that have produce stunning and thought provoking images. These include; East Africa, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Delhi and Naga Hills.
The subjects of Bailey's portraiture hail from these places, anonymous faces from around the world, as well as icons from the fashion world, music, and the arts. Some famous faces that are guaranteed to be on display include; The Rolling Stones, Kate Moss, Johnny Depp and Jack Nicholson.
A program of free-of-charge visits for schools and universities will be launched in the coming months, an initiative aimed at encouraging more young people to engage with the visual arts and culture in general. Tod's hopes to be able to help raise the cultural profile of Milan with this presentation.
