With international artists and a range of exciting exhibitions, Jeddah Art Week, ensures a promising show for its visitors

Jeddah Art Week, a unique event hosted under the Patronage of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture and Information, and Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives, is rounding off its annual festival today, which pleased visitors in Al Fursiya, Jeddah, from February 1-6.

At a time when people are continually looking towards the Middle East for inspiration, Jeddah Art Week ensured a promising week of events, allowing audiences to learn more about Jeddah's rich cultural heritage; while Jeddah had its chance to shine, showcasing its creative and design culture.

International artists including Damien Hirst participated in the festival, as did Calligraffiti artist El Seed, who created a mural in the old town of Jeddah with the support of five local Saudi Arabian artists.

Attendees were given a cultural treat with a range of exhibitions, performances, an international conference, as well as the chance to view beautiful paintings, sculpture, photography and much more.

Today, in the last day of the festival, visitors can look forward to 'Minatures and Contemporary Art from the Middle East' from Rochane Gallery; and 'Al Corniche Exploration' from Art and Culture Association.
