London’s Chelsea College of Arts, visits Dubai for the seventh time offering a short 3 day course on curating contemporary art

The Chelsea College of Arts - one of six art colleges that make up the prestigious school of the University of Arts in London - will be returning to Dubai for the seventh time delivering courses in the field of the arts. Dedicated to 'Curating Contemporary Art' a new course will be delivered by two budding London-based graduates of the Fine art program from Chelsea College of Arts and will run for 3 days.

The course will cover an enormous scope of contemporary art and its place in the international market - and will focus mainly on the role of the curator. Students will be taught best practice in commissioning, exhibition-making, programming and art writing as well as learning how to approach the field of contemporary art both critically and theoretically. Students will learn from a practical approach by visiting galleries and will be taught at the Meem Gallery, in Dubai. For all the contemporary art connoisseurs in the region, this course can act as a vehicle for exporting contemporary thinking within the visual arts world both internationally and regionally.
