'Donald by the Yard' at the Curve Gallery in New York
The opening exhibition at the Curve Gallery in New York this week saw Donald 'Drawbertson' Roberston's 'Donald by the Yard', a large scale piece with hundreds of yards of the Instagram and fashion circle star's colourful creations, featuring a unique interpretation of some of the industry's most iconic figures.
Inspired of course by fashion, but also pop culture and music, the artist is currently working as head of creative development at Bobbi Brown cosmetics, and being billed by some as a modern day Andy Warhol.
Gallery owner Nevena Borissova welcomed the likes of Brian Atwood, Bobbi Brown, Athena Calderone, Leandra Medine, Jennifer Fisher, Lucy Sykes, Stacey Bendet and Alessandra Branca to her Bond Street concept, next to her fashion store by the same name. Carine Roitfeld had been previously mentioned as host of the event, however unfortunately could not make the evening after all due to other work commitments.
