Organised by the Crossway Foundation and in partnership with Art Jameel and Qatar Museums Authority, a graffiti workshop will kick off Qatar's new Brazilian-inspired youth art competition

One of the region's most popular art competitions,'Create & Inspire 2014' — which aims to discover talented young artists from in the United Kingdom and Middle East — will launch on Friday March 14 at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar

The theme of this year's initiative is 'The World is not Black and White', inspired by the Qatar Brazil 2014 Year of Culture – with the twelve winners getting the opportunity to travel to Brazil.

Crossway Foundation graffiti workshop

Marking the launch of the unique competition, the Crossway Foundation have invited the renowned multimedia artist Alexandre Orion from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to lead an innovative graffiti workshop and create a spray painted masterpeice in the setting of Doha's MIA Park — inspiring Qatar's spirit of urban culture and international collaboration.

The graffiti workshop will take place on Friday March 14, from 2-5 pm at the MIA Park Kiosk 1, Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, Qatar.
