On October 14 one of Dubai's most renowned gallery's will be dimming its lights, allowing illuminated art to become the solitary source and object of visual perception.

Aptly titled, Night Light, the new Cuadro Gallery exhibition will feature rare, retrospective light works by a variety of artists, including renowned Saudi artist Manal Al Dowayan, Emirati photographer, Ammar Al Attar, Iraqi artist, Halim Al Karim, French-Algerian artist, Kader Attia, emerging British artist, William Mackrell, leading Saudi artist, Ahmed Mater and Puerto-Rican and South African duo, Christto Sanz and Andrew Weir.

The unique works will span distinct artistic practices and viewpoints, interpreting topics ranging from identity and politics to cultural evolutions – all in a daring medium. Among the myriad of installations, artworks will include retrospective LED and neon constructions, light-boxes and large format photo-negatives of Middle Eastern prayer rooms.
