Ayyam Gallery Jeddah presents Contemporary Arabia
Showcasing a selection of established and emerging Arab artists
From May to June 13 Saudi Arabia's Ayyam Gallery's will host Contemporary Arabia, a new exhibition that will mark the first time for a stable of artists to display their work in the Kingdom.
Representing several generations of painters and photographers from across the region, this forthcoming group will put a spotlight on the different ways that today's artists explore the intricacies of modern life through themes such as the impact of globalisation, militarised conflicts, and the overuse of media.
The exhibition will stimulate all senses, as the artworks explore forms such as innate uses of colour, hypnotising brushwork, and ethereal compositions.
Prolific artists such as Syrian painter Safwan Dahoul, Saudi artist Huda Beydoun and Palestinian painter Oussama Diab will each be showcasing their dynamic art, alongside a myriad of artists that engage regional traditions such as Syrian painter Mouteea Murad — who reinterprets the harmony of Islamic art.
Contemporary Arabia will be held at Ayyam Gallery Jeddah from May 5 to June 13.
