Carolina Herrera Gold Incense, Dhs990
Eponymous label Carolina Herrera has just added its latest scent, Gold Incense, to its Herrera Confidential collection. While looking towards the Middle East for inspiration, the fashion house worked alongside perfumer Pierre-Constantin Guéros, to create the ultimate scent this Holy Month. As woody as it is musky, Gold Incense consists of "incense [which] remained our primary inspiration" explained Carolina Herrera de Baez, Creative Director of Carolina Herrera fragrances. "The evocative aromas of the different varieties, intense colours of characteristics of the Middle East and its deserts, and warm hospitality integral to Arab traditions."
Cartier Heures Voyageuses Oud & Santal, Dhs1,450
Cartier has just extended its portfolio of limited edition fragrances with a new rendition of its Oud & Santal fragrance. The oud-injected note, which is an emblematic addition to the Heures Voyageuses collection, was explained by the brand's perfumer, Mathilde Laurent in an exclusive interview with Buro 24/7 Middle East "as rare and hard to find". The new scent comes reimagined in a patterned bottle inspired by Arabic influences and stores accents of sandalwood and oud.
Forever Oud Eighty-Eight, Dhs850
Earlier this month, Forever Rose launched a line of fragrances — Forever Oud — to celebrate the opening of its boutique in Dubai's City Walk. Marking the world's longest lasting scents, Forever Oud is available in Eighty Eight, a cedar and sandalwood-infused fragrance that comes complete with amber and oud essential oils.
Guerlain Oud Essentiel, Dhs717
Blending Guerlain's mastery in perfumery and quality in the beauty field, the coveted French label has added another olfactory scent to its portfolio. Added into the Absolus d'Orient collection, the new note, aptly titled Oud Essentiel, carries beautiful notes of leather, sandalwood, Bulgarian Rose and oud — bottling inspiration from "the ancient kings of Egypt and the modern Emirs of Arabia", says the nose behind the brand, Thierry Wasser, in an interview with Buro 24/7 Middle East.
