All in the details: Carine Roitfeld inspires beauty looks at Tom Ford
Charlotte Tilbury pays homage to the influential fashion editor
With direction to create looks with a 'rock n roll' vibe, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury followed instruction – and also sourced inspiration from Carine Roitfeld – by creating smokey eye looks in tribute to the influential fashion editor.
With numerous kohl looks, particularly emphasised on the lower lid, Tilbury revealed that she and Ford "...had a long discussion about the right kind of smudge." To achieve the look, eyes were inked using Tom Ford's Eye Defining pencil in 'Onyx' and 'Noir Absolute'. Overall the rest of the look was natural; and complexions were enhanced with Ford's Intensive Infusion Ultra Rich Moisturizer, 'Shade & Illuminate'.
Hair stylist Orlando Pita worked volumiser into roots before he blow-dried and parted hair slightly off centre. "I'm not using any finishing products... It should look really natural and not too precise; all I'll do before the girls walk out is tuck some of their hair into the clothing."
