All in the details: Beauty at Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu
Paris Fashion Week AW14
With an ethereal presentation of fashion on the catwalk, makeup artist Pat McGrath created a range of tender beauty looks to complement the dreamy designs. The overall look was natural, with McGrath enhancing eyes with a touch of grey eyeliner on the upper eyelid. Meanwhile, hair stylist Guido Palau created low ponytails, featuring black elastic bands in several places.
At Louis Vuitton, a significant show for the brand in which Nicolas Ghesquière made his creative debut, the beauty was just as important as the fashion itself. The new vision for the brand was portrayed with beauty looks that emphasised eyes, with an assortment of smokey looks in different hues. Hair was styled loose and wavy, which offered a laid back vibe.
From a distance, it seemed that Miu Miu had created a natural look, but on closer inspection, shiny eyes and glossy lips were present. A yellow gel shadow was used on eyelids to create a translucent effect on the skin. This transparent effect was a continuation of the label's AW14 fashion, which combined plastic raincoats and rubber boots.
