Rooney Mara stars in her first big name campaign for Calvin Klein
As the face of the new fragrance ‘Downtown’
Inspired by the chic Downtown area of the big apple, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara lends her beauty to the new perfume campaign for Calvin Klein.
Jean-Baptiste Mondino captured the print ads for the campaign, while David Fincher, who Mara worked with for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, directed the TV ads.
The fragrance 'Downtown', is named after New York's happening district and is described as a "superaspirational scent". It's revealed to contain top notes including Italian cedrat, bergamot, Tunisian neroli, green pear; fused with a heart of pink peppercorn, violet leaf and gardenia petals, and a drydown of Texan cedarwood, incense, vetiver and velvet musks.
Talking about the new campaign, Mara revealed: "It's an honour to be part of a brand with such a legacy of breakthrough advertising. The Downtown fragrance holds true to the chic, confident and simple feeling of the Calvin brand. The effortless and timeless appeal of the Calvin Klein Collection and the Downtown scent made this a natural partnership."
