Pretty perfume: Miu Miu unveils its first ever fragrance
Eyeing a slice of the scent market
Miu Miu reveal the first look at its inaugural perfume. Miuccia Prada used the essence of her quirky and cool brand and poured it right inside the decorative bottle of Miu Miu's first ever fragrance.
"We wanted it to be unique, youthful, colourful and sophisticated," said Caroline Javoy, group vice president of marketing for the label at Coty Inc., the fashion brand's fragrance licensee.
The Miu Miu perfume's opaque light blue glass flacon, with a gold and red cap, was inspired by vintage bottles and Miu Miu's matelassé bag. The fragrance includes a delicate lily of the valley note, created by mixing jasmine with rose absolute and some green notes.
The perfume will hit iconic British department store – Harrods in August, followed by Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the U.S in September, before launching worldwide the same month.
