Leonard Lauder is honoured at the BCRF Gala and serenaded by Sir Elton John
With Donna Karan, Aerin Lauder, Vera Wang and more
Leonard Lauder was honoured at the annual Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) gala on Thursday – a poignant moment for the beauty legend, especially since his late wife Evelyn founded the yearly event. Lauder was seranaded at the chic dinner by Sir Elton John, who sang: "If he were in England, he would have the sword. He would be Sir Leonard by now," finishing the touching song with a salute: "Leonard Lauder, the greatest man I know."
Designers Vera Wang, Donna Karan and Zac Posen were joined by Elizabeth Hurley, Tony Bennett (who also performed during the proceedings) and Aerin Lauder – who all turned out for the charitable affair, which raised almost $7 million for breast cancer research.
