Save these to your Pinterest boards ASAP
The 2018 Emmy Awards took place overnight in Los Angeles and there were some stellar beauty looks on display...

The 2018 Emmy Awards have come and gone already, but not without delivering a stellar red carpet, as well as some very memorable moments during winner’s acceptance speeches. There were also some incredible beauty looks on display overnight, with some of the world’s top makeup artists painting the faces of Hollywood’s most famous for television’s biggest night of the year. Here are a few of the looks that caught our eye:

Evan Rachel Wood

Westworld actress Evan Rachel Woods stunned in a beautiful custom Altuzarra dress at this year’s awards and her hair and makeup was equally as gorgeous. Makeup artist Toby Fleischman was the woman responsible for the look, keeping Wood’s skin dewy with a softly shimmering nude eyeshadow that paved the way for her statement lip, courtesy of Burts Bees’ liquid lipstick in Wine Waters. Her hair was styled in a low chignon adorned by a bouquet of flowers for added impact and was the work of hair stylist John D, who was also responsible for Gwendoline Christie’s hair on the night.

Scarlett Johansson

ScarJo caught our attention with her incredible white Balmain gown but kept it thanks to her neon yellow eyeshadow. Makeup artist Frankie Boyd created the showstopping look using Pat McGrath Labs’ Astral Luna Gold eyeshadow, paired with a serious cat eye flick. Leaving the rest of her face understated allowed the eye to really pop.

Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore is an Emmys favourite and this year she chose to pair her gorgeous metallic Rodarte dress with a perfectly complementary beauty look. Her longtime friend and makeup artist Jenn Streicher worked on her face, using Lancôme products to achieve her blushed cheeks, soft nude lip and orange-bronze smokey eye. In fact, Streicher used the new Proenza Schouler for Lancôme Chroma Eyeshadow Palette in 01 Warm on the eyes, telling Allure, “I focused on two of the darker brown shades in the palette and then used the lighter, more nude colours on the crease of her eye and below the eye.” Meanwhile her effortless beach waves were the work of Jenn’s sister Ashley who used Garnier products to create the look.

Thandie Newtown

The winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category, Thandie Newton chose a vibrant pink Brandon Maxwell dress for this year’s event. And what better way to complement such a hue than to match your eyeshadow to it? Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell used Pat McGrath Labs’ Mothership V: Bronze Ambition Palette to create the eye which was complemented by full lashes, a soft pink lip and a chic centre-parted low bun.

Tracee Ellis Ross

Fusing a hot pink lip with a vibrant coral eyeshadow is not a look most people can pull off, and yet, Tracee Ellis Ross did so with aplomb overnight, all whilst wearing Valentino couture. The actress’ makeup look was created by Lisa Storey using Charlotte Tilbury products, specifically her new Pillow Talk range whilst her slicked high bun was the handiwork of Johnnie Sapong who used Suave Beauty’s Natural Hold Micromist Hairspray to keep everything in place.

Jessica Biel

The actress and nominee for Oustanding Lead Actress was one of our best dressed this year, rocking a gorgeous Ralph and Russo gown for the event. And her beauty look is one we’ll be referencing time and time again. Created by Kara Yoshimoto Bua, the look began at the skin with Bua showing on her Instagram showing that she used Chanel’s Le Lift Anti-Wrinkle eye patches ahead of applying a softly impactful pink-berry lip using Chanel’s Lip Precision Lip Definer in Natural layered with Rouge Allure Liquid Powder in Avant-Gardiste and finally Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme in Idéal.
