Reviving the time when perfume oil was invented – the 4th millennium BC – François Demachy is bringing back Middle Eastern fragrance traditions

Boasting the title of Dior's head Perfumer-Creator, and the man behind Les Élixirs Précieux, François Demachy has brought tradition to the fore.

Using the art of 'layering' – the ancestral Middle-Eastern practice of putting one scent over another and other rituals of oriental perfuming, the brand has created four new major accords as part of the prestigious La Collection Privée Christian Dior.

The new scents encapsulate Rose, Ambre, Musc and Oud

Each Élixir Précieux is highly concentrated and the signature scents feature a bouquet of noble raw materials, all selected by François Demachy to meet the highest standards.

Rose magnifies the Turkish rose essence and absolute. Ambre has a intense sensuality, Oud exalts the woody power of Agarwood Essence and Musc combines the evocative and subtle tones of historical musks.

The Elixir bottles are like little glass treasures for dressing tables – delicate and precious, and not to be used in abundance. All you need is a few drops on pulse points of the body for the fragrance to express its full accords.

Les Elixirs Precieux is Dhs1400, now available in select retail chains across UAE & KSA
