A once Middle East-based photojournalist is the new creative behind Chanel's latest video and his words are as powerful as his vision. Watch this behind-the-scenes video now...

Ringan Ledwidge is the man behind the video lens on some of the world's leading commercials, think Puma, Nike and Audi. Now, Chanel have tapped the film-maker to recreate the life of Gabrielle Chanel in a new 30-second short starring Kristen Stewart.

Ledwidge, who started his career as a photojournalist in the Middle East spoke exclusively about his latest project with the French fashion house saying: "The whole feeling that they wanted to express was liberation. It's in some ways a bit of a metaphor for Coco Chanel's life, Gabrielle. A very strong woman, a bit of a maveric for her time. When I heard that Kristen was involved as well, I thought hey, there's a chance to do something really special, and to get something that feels very today."
