Chanel's Métiers d’Art show served some serious beauty inspo and we're here to break it down for you...

Every year, Chanel pays homage to the specialist workshops that help create its coveted collections. The annual showcase, titled the Métiers d'Art show, shines the spotlight on the expert craftsmanship behind everything the brand puts forward and it isn't just about the clothes.

We previously highlighted some serious beauty inspo that was captured on the runway, and we zoomed in specifically to the model's pretty manicured fingers and Camélia bows and cool girl hair.

Now, we're taking a step back to discover the makeup used to create the show look, courtesy of Chanel's Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica.

For Chanel's Métiers d'Art 2019/20 show, Pica went above and beyond and created not one, not two, but three different looks. But first, it was all about the skin.

Pica used the maison's Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux, Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum and La Solution 10 Chanel to prep the skin before creating a slew of looks that we've already been adding to our beauty boards.

Look 1

Eyes: Pica used the Les 4 Ombres — N°334 Modern Glamour (Fall/Winter 2019 – Noir Et Blanc de Chanel) palette and used the Les Pinceaux De Chanel – Rounded Eyeshadow Brush and completed the look with Le Volume Revolution De Chanel mascara in N°10 Noir.

Cheeks: Pica used the Palette Essentielle and Les Pinceaux De Chanel (the retractable highlighter brush).

Look 2

Eyes: The second look was completed with the Baume Essentiel Transparent, and similar to the first, the Les Pinceaux De Chanel – Rounded Eyeshadow Brush and the Le Volume Revolution De Chanel mascara in N°10 Noir. However, the eyes were complete with the strass applied on the inner corners of the eyes, spotted on Vittoria Ceretti (pictured above — right).

Cheeks: For a more natural look, Pica used the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder in N°50 applied with Les Pinceaux De Chanel Contouring Brush.

Lips: The pout remained neutral too as Chanel's Le Crayon Lêvres – N°156 Beige Natural and Rouge Coco Gloss in N°792 Aphrodite.

Look 3

Eyes: Baume Essentiel Transparent was used on the eyes, along with the Le Volume Revolution De Chanel mascara in N°10 Noir.

Cheeks: Joues Contraste N°440 Quintessence was used on the cheeks and applied with Les Pinceaux De Chanel, the Precision Powder Brush.

Lips: Look 3 saw the most dramatic lips as Pica applied the Le Crayon Lèvres – N°188 Brun Carmin, the Rouge Allure Velvet Extrême – N°130 Rouge Obscur and the Rouge Coco Gloss in N°772 Epique.

Is there a product that you particularly enjoyed using for this makeup look?

"The Baume Essential Transparent. It's perfect to recreate the high gloss eyes of the show for your day to day life. It adds freshness to the look and highlights naturally," said Pica.
