Zadig & Voltaire announces ban on fur moving forward

Another win for the animals
Yet another brand is making a woke move. Now, Zadig & Voltaire are taking steps away from unethical practices...

Overnight, Zadig & Voltaire has announced that it will no longer use fur in any of its collections moving forward.

The French ready-to-wear and accessories brand told PETA France about the decision, according to Fashion Network. The brand hasn’t released any further information regarding the new stance but it is being widely celebrated.

The announcement follows that of several major fashion brands including Burberry, Chanel and Victoria Beckham. With consumers becoming increasingly more concerned with the provenance of their products and the ethics surrounding their manufacturing process, the use of fur is becoming more and more frowned upon. Will fashion ever totally stop working with fur? Only time will tell but these positive steps are taking animals off the runway and retail shelves and putting them back where they belong – in nature.
