Victoria Beckham announces ban on exotic skins in her collections

Starting from Fall/Winter
Yet another brand has announced it is banning the use of exotic skins moving forward...

It’s no secret that consumers are becoming increasingly woke when it comes to where and how their clothes are made, and the use of exotic skins has been a point of focus in recent seasons. Now, Victoria Beckham has announced she is banning the use of the controversial materials in all collections moving forward.

The brand announced the news ahead of its upcoming London Fashion Week show this week, explaining in a statement, “Victoria Beckham will cease the use of exotic skins in all collections as of A/W ’19. The Victoria Beckham brand has never used fur in its clothing or accessories collections and confirmed last year that the brand will remain fur-free.”

The move follows other luxury brands who have also announced a ban on exotic materials including Chanel and Vivienne Westwood. Fashion without feeling guilty? We’re sold.
