Sales of bike shorts spiked 27 per cent in the last three months

According to eBay
Every second person seems to own a pair of bike shorts these days - just ask e-Bay...

Love them or hate them, bike shorts have come back in a big way this year. We blame Kim Kardashian West for their return mostly, though the trend was then adopted by the likes of Emily Ratajkowski and Kaia Gerber and the style was a prominent feature on the S/S ’19 runways, too, meaning they’re sticking around for a little longer yet.

And in case you needed any further proof that bike shorts have indeed become a wardrobe staple for many women around the globe (sans gym), then e-Bay‘s latest trend report delivers just that. According to the report, the site reveals it has sold roughly 110,00 pairs of bike shorts this year alone, and that the item had a sales spike of 27 per cent in three months.

As per Fashionista, the report also noted an increase in sales for teddy coats (they quadrupled between September and October) and faux fur (which jumped 105 per cent in 90 days).

So in case you were wondering what your new and next season essentials were, there you have it.

Now, find out when you can get your hands on the reissued Marc Jacobs grunge collection (i.e. the one that got him fired 25 years ago).
