ICYMI: Christy Turlington Burns returned to the catwalk last night for Marc Jacobs after a 20-year hiatus

Star power
Marc Jacobs' F/W '19 NYFW show was a spectacle for all the right reasons...

Marc Jacobs showed his F/W ’19 collection overnight to a packed audience, and whilst the collection itself was noteworthy, it was the famous faces wearing the pieces that really had everyone talking.

Willow Smith made her runway debut for the brand (wearing an oversized polka dot creation), walking alongside catwalk regulars Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber

Karlie Kloss, who has significantly scaled back her catwalk appearances in recent years, strutted down the runway, so too did Lindsey Wixson. But the biggest surprise of the night came in the form of ’90s super Christy Turlington Burns who closed the show.

Burns hasn’t been seen on a catwalk in two decades, last walking during the 1990s. Interestingly, she walked for Marc Jacobs in the same era in the designer’s ill-fated grunge show for Perry Ellis (which ultimately got him fired). Having hardly aged in that time, Burns looked radiant in a black feather dress and leather boots.

Now that’s how you close out NYFW.
