5 new GCC hotels to book yourselves into in 2019

Come on over...
Looking for a new spot to book yourself into in the coming months? We've rounded up five of the best 2019 openings...

there’s no better time to start planning a holiday than at the start of the new year and there’s five new hotels opening across the Middle East that make that easier than ever to do. Plus, there’s no more than four hours of travel time by plane to get to any of them so we say it’s the year to make the most of your weekends…

United Arab Emirates

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira

One of the world’s most popular hotels with locations in London, Bangkok, Hong Kong, New York, Lake Como and Shanghai, the Mandarin Oriental group is finally coming to Dubai next year.

Set to be located in one of the city’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, the new hotel will open its doors in Jumeira and will have stunning views of the city’s beaches. With six restaurants and lounges, the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira will definitely bring a new level of luxury to the city’s hotel offerings.

Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect…

The Mandarin Oriental Jumeira will be located on Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 1, Dubai. No specific opening date has been set.

Radisson

Radisson is set to open its first hotel in the Middle East next year and we already can’t wait to check ourselves into the hotel.

The 481-room property will be popping up in Dubai’s upcoming luxury district, Damac Hills. During your stay, you’ll be surrounded by an 18-hole championship golf course and the hotel will be home to two restaurants, a gym, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a meeting space that has built over an area of 600sqm.

The Radisson Hotel will be located at Dubai’s DAMAC Hills. No specific opening date has been set.

St Regis The Palm

Perhaps one of the most exciting hotel openings of 2019, the St Regis will be opening up a new post on the Palm.

Set to be part of the man-made island’s newest Palm Tower (which will be a hotel and a residential building), the new St Regis hotel will include 289 rooms and 432 luxury apartments, and will also be home to one of the world’s highest infinity pools on the 50th floor. Plus, the hotel will have a restaurant complex and a rooftop viewing deck on the higher levels of the hotel, too.

We suspect this will be the new Instagram hotspot when its doors are officially open…

St Regis The Palm will be located as part of the Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah. No specific opening date has been set.

Oman

Jumeirah Muscat Bay

Oman is giving us yet another reason to visit with the opening of a new hotel, the Jumeirah Muscat Bay.

Expected to be open in 2019, the hotel will be nestled between the Hajjar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman, and will have a picturesque backdrop of Bandar Jissah. Only a 15 minute ride away from the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport, the new hotel will feature 206 rooms, a Talise Spa, a dive centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, plus a selection of restaurants and cafes.

Jumeirah Muscat Bay will be located at Saraya Bandar Jissah. No specific opening date has been set.

Saudi Arabia

Jabal Omar Jumeirah

Jabal Omar Jumeirah will be opening its doors in Makkah next year, offering both a hotel and villas for guests to stay in. With 1,033 guest rooms along with 93 villas, Jabal Omar Jumeirah will feature a variety of food and beverage offerings, meeting facilities, an executive lounge, a gymnasium and a slew of retail units.
