Mandarin Oriental Tokyo has created a luxury new visitor experience for its guests in the form of a helicopter tour of the iconic Mount Fiji, in a stylish helicopter decked out in Hermès interiors.

Immersing in the hustle and excitement of Tokyo's frenetic street-level fast-paced city life is a crucial element of any authentic visit to the Japanese capital, but the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo also knows that it is worth breaking away from the crowded city. And what better way to achieve that, than an airborne tour of the incredible dormant volcano?

The luxury package put together by the hotel, exclusively for guests, includes an 80 minute tour in the Eurocopter Hermès Edition helicopter, which has a spacious interior outfitted with specially made seats by the iconic luxury leather masters.

The scenic journey takes in Sagami Bay and then Lake Ashinoko before circling for a close up of the mighty Mount Fiji. Before swooping back to the hotel to enjoy the luxury facilities, the return route allows for a clear view of the Tokyo SkyTree Tower.

Spring is the ideal time to take up this offering, as the traditional Japanese cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Prices start at $6,460 and includes one night for 2 at the Mandarin Oriental, and a limousine transfer to the helipad, before taking to the skies in Hermès style.
