Dubai's national carrier Emirates has claimed the title of World's Best Airlines at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This marks the fourth time the world's largest airlines has won the award after previous wins in 2001, 2002 and 2013. The result is based on data taken from almost 20 million travel surveys by a global travelling demographic.

"We are honoured to be recognised by the prestigious Skytrax awards," said Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline. "Emirates has always put our customers at the heart of what we do, and we work hard to deliver the very best experience possible to our customers at every touchpoint, every day, all around the world. We constantly invest in our product and services, both on the ground and in the air. We listen carefully to our customers, and then relentlessly challenge ourselves to deliver and exceed expectations."

In addition to the prestigious award, Emirates also collected wins for World's Best Inflight Entertainment – a record 12 consecutive times – as well as Best Airline in the Middle East.

Congratulations Emirates!
