Today, music sharing pioneer Soundcloud announced an exciting new partnering with the Warner Music Group

At present there are no confirmed details surrounding the union, however it marks Soundcloud's first deal with a major record label. The power duo will work together on the 'On Soundcloud' ad campaign, which was launched in August earlier this year.

"We're thrilled that Warner Music Group will be the first major label to join our new creator partner program," said SoundCloud's founder & CEO Alexander Ljung, in a statement. "We expect to generate significant revenue for Warner and its artists in the months and years ahead as we roll out an ad-supported offering and subscription service that delivers real value to the industry."

The partnership is set to be mutually beneficial – Soundcloud, who reportedly lost $29 million in 2013, will benefit from a boost via an established music business entity. Whilst Warner will undoubtedly gain from Soundclouds pioneering hands-on approach to providing music to the masses.
