Los Angeles based Hyperkin originally devised this genius iPhone case as part of an April Fool's prank, but due to demand and buzz the video game hardware developers are now developing it for real.

Dubbed the 'Smart Boy', tech brand Hyperkin's retro-looking case directly connects with your smartphone, allowing gamers to play their existing Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games cartridges directly on their Apple devices. The iconic directional arrows and the A and B buttons from the original Nintendo device feature on the new iPhone case, which transforms the modern-day smartphone into a vintage device from the Ninenties.

"We wanted to create a retro device that can be easily adapted into any modern gamer's arsenal of devices," noted Hyperkin's product developer Chris Gallizzi in a press release. He also went on to explain that the 'Smart Boy' will come in the classic 80's grey with more colours to follow.
