Busy executives who subscribe to the mantra that 'time is money' will be scrambling to place their orders for the new supersonic AS2 jet – a high speed jet developed by Navada-based company, Aerion, with some help from Airbus. The company's proprietary laminar-flow technology has the ability to reduce wing drag, and sped up journey times by staggering amounts. For example, a flight from Paris to Washington D.C. can now be 3 hours faster and flying between San Francisco and Singapore is as much as 6.5 hours faster.

Chiefly constructed by carbon fibre, every part of the aircraft is designed for speed and efficiency. The 30-foot long cabin can accommodate a maximum of 11 passengers, and the top speed is a face-melding Mach 1.5. With a price tag of $120 million, orders are now open for the supersonic jet and Aerion expect the first AS2 to be zooming around the skies by 2021.
