Stephen Hawking is hosting his first Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' (AMA) this week – but it's got one big difference. The usual set-up for the site's longest running feature see's celebrities and notable personalities log-on to field questions from the online community's users. However, one of the biggest minds in the world, warrants one of the biggest AMA sessions in history, hence Hawking will take questions for just over a week until August 4, and then provide answers over the course of the following weeks.

Previous AMA participants include Madonna, Peter Dinklage and Barack Obama, but Hawking's session is set to eclipse even that of the leader of the free world.

Hawking has said he's interested in discussing some of his specialist subjects such as artificial intelligence, particularly after voicing concerns about how humans can govern artificial life forms. No doubt his sharp wit will make an appearance during the session.
