Sheikh Mohammed, the ruler of Dubai, has been given the green light by the London borough of Wandsworth council, to build a £20 million luxury car park, moments from the well-used Battersea heliport. The plans would see an eight story structure built by the River Thames location, composed of two basement levels and six upper levels, that provide parking for his family's fleet of 114 luxury London cars. Also in the building would be offices for his travelling key members of staff as well as five star accommodation for staff.

The Battersea location would allow for seamless travel from any of London's major or private international airports, where a short transfer by helicopter to the Battersea helipad can cut out arduous travel delays on London's artery roads. From Battersea it is a quick drive over the river to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, home to some of London's most exclusive luxury hotels, restaurants and shops.
