British yacht designers, Glider Yachts, have stuck a deal to bring their design for a super smooth riding yacht, that can travel at 70 miles-per-hour without spilling a single drop of a passenger's drink, into production. Marine engineers, Burgess Marine, have come on board in a £100 million agreement to bring the futuristic looking SS18 model to the seas.

The yacht will sit in the high performance sports boat category and is tipped to be the most luxurious of its kind. Its design borrows cues and aeronautic techniques used in the construction of Formula 1 racing cars and luxury private jets.

Gilder designers say that because of its unique design it is able to "pierce through waves and glide over them rather than slam from wave to wave like conventional sports yachts. The SS18 is truly a game changer," according to chief designer and managing director of Glider Yachts, Robert McCall: "You can travel to your destination without spilling a drop of [bubbles]."

According to the firm, an SS18 prototype will be launched in Monaco on September 2015.
