Christofle's new Mood collection is getting a fashionable makeover this Fall, thanks to an upcoming collaboration with none other than King Karl...

Shortly after making a foray into beauty with the release of his makeup collection in partnership with Model CoKarl Lagerfeld is now lending his hand to homewares.

The Chanel and Fendi designer just announced that he is teaming up with Christofle, a brand owned by Dubai-based Chalhoub Group.

Set to be launched next season, the limited-edition cutlery collection will make the perfect setting for any dinner party. You will be able to fbuy two egg-shaped storage capsules (one of the French brand’s signature pieces) which have been revamped using Lagerfeld’s creativity and inspired by the Art Deco movement. Plus, it will be signed and numbered.

According to WWD, “Lagerfeld was one of the world’s foremost collectors of Art Deco furnishings before selling his collection at auction in 1975″, which explains the designer’s inspiration for the collection.

Whilst no further details have been released on what to expect, we’ll be able to get a closer look during New York Fashion Week in September when the collection becomes available for pre-order at select Christofle and Karl Lagerfeld stores in the Big Apple, as well as their websites.

The worldwide launch is set to take place on October 1.
