The global photo giant – Getty Images – has announced a marketing campaign, which will see them pay $10,000 to three Instagram users.

The new project aims to increase photographic coverage, especially of regions that are underrepresented in terms of photography. Getty Images have partnered with Instagram to invite users to submit 10-20 images that showcase stories and areas not often covered in mainstream media. Finalists will then be selected and judged by a panel for the collaborative competition and campaign, and three winners will receive $10,000 in prize money as well as mentorship by Getty experts and have their work exhibited at the Photoville showcase in New York later this year.

To enter, budding photographers should follow the aforementioned guidelines and submit their images by June 4. The winners will be announced in September.
