Facebook has denied claims that it plans to enter the music streaming business. After it was revealed that Mark Zuckberg's social media empire had met with some top record labels many (including Buro 24/7 Middle East) assumed that the digital networking site had plans to enter the world of music streaming.

A spokesperson for Facebook has now put the rumours to rest, telling The Verge that it has "no plans to go into music streaming" adding that the meetings were conducted with the music labels to discuss ad-supported videos and revenue splits.
