London's Bloomsbury Auction, which took place last week, has successfully auctioned the very first 'space selfie' taken by, and featuring, famous NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, during the 1966 Gemini 12 mission.

The historic photograph exceeded expert's estimates ten fold by selling for $9200. The Aldrin selfie, was the headline article in a collection of 700 NASA previously unseen photographs from a private collection of NASA originals, known by their authenticating demarkation stamps. Many other photos from the collection have also been auctioned and together raised a great deal of money.
