Following the announcement last December that it would open its first ever store in the Middle East in Dubai, new reports have surfaced that the store – which will be situated at the Mall of the Emirates – will open its doors this August.

The new mega store will mark the tech giant's biggest retail outlet to date, and will be spread over 50,000 square feet with a main entrance on the second level of the Mall of the Emirate's new Fashion District. The first ever Dubai Apple store will be more than double the 23,000 square feet Apple flagship Grand Central Store in New York.

The tech giant's CEO, Tim Cook visited the UAE last year, meeting with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and various Apple resellers. Apple is said to be working on a separate store for the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi set to launch in 2016 also. A third UAE store is also rumoured to be opening in Downtown Dubai.
